This detailed & richly coloured image of The Guildford Arms is available as an A1 fine art poster. It is a signed limited edition of 70 copies, produced for Fawkes That by MBE Edinburgh.
These prints are on heavyweight poster paper. Individually signed and numbered. If you’re in Edinburgh, and want to save a little on the price, you can pick up a copy from any one of MBE Edinburgh‘s three shops.
Prefer this in another format and can’t find it elsewhere in the shop? Then don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Established in 1896, the Guildford describes itself as a “classic Edinburgh New Town Victorian bar and restaurant“. The inside is equally beautiful. Plus, it serves as an events venue during the Edinburgh Festival.
Shown below are a couple of extracts from the full-sized image. Click on them for a closer look.
Displaying your print
A good quality A1 clip frame may-well be the ideal way to display this print. From personal experience, I would always recommend shopping for clip frames in-person. And – if you read some of the reviews on Amazon – you’ll probably see why I urge caution on clip frame quality.
Avoid using Blu Tac, and other such products. Unfortunately these will interact with even the highest-quality of papers. This may lead to discoulouring leaking through onto the print.
… without a clip frame
Whilst a frame – of any sort – is the ideal way to display a print without in any way damaging it, there are other options.
For displaying posters at exhibitions, I use small foldback (“Bulldog”) clips and map pins. Six to eight such clips permit a poster to be stretched flat with no holes made in it.
